To begin, I’d like to say that you can repair your credit score yourself. I’ve done it, lots of people have done it, but if you have more time than money, or don’t feel like attempting credit score repair yourself and would rather rely on a professional, I will tell you that that’s a good choice. Trying to fix your credit score is not something that everyone feels comfortable doing. So instead of looking into alternatives, they just give up. That’s a bad idea. If you have a poor credit score you really need to keep moving forward in trying to repair your credit. That means if you need to hire a credit repair company, then that’s what you need to do.
So let’s say you have bad credit and are looking to hire a credit repair agency, what should you look for? For starters, you should look lexington-law-review for an agency that knows its credit repair law and how to repair your credit correctly instead of making things worse. Honestly, the best way to do that is by getting a list of credit repair agencies and doing your own research to see who can do the best job of cleaning up your credit. If you do a quick search on Google, you can come up with a short list of credit repair agencies that you can look into.
Before we go any further I’d like to tell you my personal feelings and experience with credit repair companies; most of them are a sham. I’m more of a do-it-yourself type and after reading many of the reviews and complaints that you see on the internet there’s no way I would have used or recommended one before. I brought this up to Mike, a co-worker I’ve known for years. He was looking for credit repair options because he had just resolved an ugly divorce a few years prior (his ex-wife purposely destroyed their credit file after they separated) and was about to get remarried. He was looking for some kind of fast credit repair and we talked about my experiences and we went over some of his options. I told him I wasn’t thrilled with what I’ve read about credit repair agencies and that he should look into fixing his credit report himself.
Two days later he went out and hired a credit repair company anyway.
He was very nervous about it and was telling me how he told the guy at the agency that this was his hard earned money he was risking and he wanted results and so on. Well, I’m glad Mike didn’t listen to me because within three months his credit score had risen dramatically (close to 100 points) and many of his outstanding collections were reduced.
So, if a credit repair agency is something you may be interested in, do your research and make some calls. Mike used Lexington Law, and since I have a testimonial for them they’re the only one I can recommend. Like I said, do some research and if you’re interested in them then fill out their inquiry form (or call them), and see if they fit your needs. The sooner you start down the path to clean credit, the quicker you will get find it repaired.
